My Worst Day WW2, a World War 2 game in the tactical games genre
Copyright Rune Trollebo
In the game My Worst Day WW2 you are a
saboteur in World War 2. It is 1944 and you
are sent into German occupied Norway. You
are ordered to destroy two of the enemies
canons on a larger island. They are part of the
many coastal fortresses the Germans built in
Norway during the war.
On the island the resistance movement has left
weapons for you in a base, leaving you a
Mauser 98 with cope, a silenced rifle, the
Delisle, and some sub-machineguns, like the
Sten-gun, Thompson, MP40 and a MP44, an
assault rifle which can be used at longer range
than the sub-machineguns. To fight the tanks
you have Piat bazooka.
But somehow the German troops have got hold
of your explosives, and you have to fight to get
them back, since they are needed for you to
You do not have much information about the
enemies, and what they are up to. But you have
a map, and have to try to both get hold of the

explosives, and find out what are the biggest
threats and eliminate them, one by one.
Most likely you have to fight most of the
enemies on the island. You can also do some
reconnaissance. And since you cannot carry
all the weapons and the explosives you can
perhaps move some weapons close to places
you know you will need them. The
sub-machineguns are weapons you typically
can have stored around the island.
Just as in other tactical games, you have to
find out when, where and how to do different
actions to solve your mission.
You have to destroy tanks, planes and even a
battleship, before blowing up the canons, and
sailing from the island in a fishing boat.
My Worst Day WW2 is like other tactical
games, it is the thinking man's game, you have
to sneak and snipe. Tactical games from
WW2 are few. Check this one out.
